To be recognized as a leader in patient care and community service, setting the standard for excellence in emergency medical response.
The Myerstown First Aid Unit originated as part of the Goodwill Fire Company in the 1940s before becoming an independent organization in 1956. Since then, we have expanded both in membership and specialized equipment.
Today, we operate three ambulances, a water rescue boat, rescue snow sleds, and an eight-wheeled terrain vehicle for search and rescue operations. We offer Basic and Intermediate Advanced Life Support in Myerstown, Pennsylvania. We respond to approximately 2,000 calls annually, serving a population of 8,800 across Myerstown Borough, Jackson Township, and surrounding areas. Our team consists of career providers on weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM, while evenings, weekends, and holidays are staffed entirely by our committed volunteer personnel.
